Overtime under the Saudi Labor Law
Article 107 requires employers to pay overtime at the hourly wage plus 50% of the basic wage — i.e. 150% of the basic hourly rate. Hours worked on official holidays and Eid are treated as overtime. The hourly wage is commonly derived as basic monthly salary ÷ 30 ÷ 8.
Standard hours are 8/day or 48/week; during Ramadan, hours for Muslim employees reduce to 6/day or 36/week, so overtime begins earlier in that month.
