⚠️ Fees as commonly reported. The exit re-entry fee schedule (SAR 200 single / SAR 500 multiple plus per-month extensions) is the figure widely quoted by Absher users and Saudi expat advisory sites; it has not been checked here against a primary MOI tariff page. In short

A Saudi single exit re-entry visa is commonly reported to cost SAR 200 for 2 months plus SAR 100 per extra month; a multiple exit re-entry visa SAR 500 for 3 months plus SAR 200 per extra month, up to 12 months and never beyond the Iqama expiry. The same fee applies per dependent.

Who this is for: Expatriates in Saudi Arabia and their sponsors budgeting single or multiple exit re-entry visas for the family.

Not tax or legal advice. Fees are as commonly reported for Absher-issued visas; Absher shows the exact amount for your case before payment, and the Ministry of Interior can change the tariff at any time.

How exit re-entry visa fees are calculated

  • Single exit re-entry: SAR 200 for up to 2 months, plus SAR 100 for each additional month.
  • Multiple exit re-entry: SAR 500 for up to 3 months, plus SAR 200 for each additional month, up to the Iqama expiry (maximum 12 months).

The fee is paid through Absher (individuals) or Muqeem/Absher Business (employers) before the visa is issued, and the same per-person fee applies to each dependent. The visa cannot extend beyond the Iqama expiry date, so an Iqama with 4 months left caps a multiple visa at 4 months. Unused visas can be cancelled, but the fee is not refunded.

From the employer's side, the visa is normally issued by the sponsor; employees of companies on the Qiwa/Absher Business platform can request it themselves if the employer has enabled that permission.

Assumptions

  • Single: SAR 200 for 2 months + SAR 100 per extra month; multiple: SAR 500 for 3 months + SAR 200 per extra month; maximum 12 months (rules file, commonly reported).
  • Fee multiplied by the number of people.
  • The Iqama check compares today + months against the expiry date you enter.

Worked example

Multiple exit re-entry for 6 months, family of 3

Base SAR 500 covers 3 months; 3 extra months × SAR 200 = SAR 600 → SAR 1,100 per person.
Three people → SAR 3,300, provided every family member's Iqama is valid for the full 6 months.

Frequently asked questions

Can I extend an exit re-entry visa while outside Saudi Arabia?

Yes — through Absher, as long as the Iqama is still valid, paying the per-month extension fee. Overstaying the visa abroad cancels the Iqama and bars re-entry on it.

Does a final exit visa cost anything?

No, a final exit visa is free, but all fines and traffic violations must be cleared and the employer must issue it.

Is there a fee for a dependent's visa?

Yes, the same schedule per person; it is issued from the head of family's Absher account.

What happens if I don't travel on a single visa?

It lapses after 60 days and the fee is forfeited; cancel it on Absher before issuing a new one.

How much is a 6-month multiple exit re-entry visa?

Commonly reported as SAR 500 for the first 3 months plus 3 × SAR 200 = SAR 1,100 per person.

Can an exit re-entry visa exceed the Iqama expiry?

No — the visa validity is capped at the Iqama expiry date; renew the Iqama first for a longer visa.

People also ask

Can I extend an exit re-entry visa from abroad?
