In short
A valid invoice shows the seller's and buyer's names and addresses, a unique number, the date, a description with quantities and unit prices, the total and payment terms; add tax registration numbers (NTN/STRN in Pakistan, TRN in the UAE, VAT number in the UK) and show tax separately where registered.
Who this is for: Freelancers and small businesses in Pakistan, the Gulf, the UK or anywhere who need a clean PDF invoice without accounting software.
What a valid invoice needs
- Everywhere: your name and address, the client's, a unique invoice number, the date, a description of goods or services with quantities and unit prices, the total, and payment terms and bank details.
- Pakistan (sales tax registered): your NTN and STRN, the buyer's NTN where registered, and the sales tax shown separately; from 2025 FBR's digital invoicing applies to larger registered persons.
- UAE: the words "Tax Invoice", your TRN, the 5% VAT shown per line or in total, and the customer's TRN for supplies above AED 10,000 — use our dedicated FTA-compliant UAE VAT invoice generator for this.
- Saudi Arabia: a ZATCA e-invoice with a QR code (phase 2 requires integration) — our ZATCA QR tool covers simplified invoices.
- UK: VAT number and VAT amount if registered; "VAT invoice" wording; UK late-payment terms can be stated (see the late-fee calculator).
This generator produces a clean, generic PDF for freelancers and small businesses in any currency; the tax line is optional and labelled as you choose (VAT, GST, Sales Tax).

Frequently asked questions
Is this invoice legally valid?
It carries all the standard elements; whether it satisfies tax rules depends on your registration (NTN/STRN, TRN, VAT number) which you add in the From and Bill-to boxes, and on country-specific e-invoicing requirements.
Can I add my logo?
Not in this version — the header uses your business name and accent colour. The UAE VAT invoice tool supports a logo if you need one.
Does it save my invoices?
No. Nothing is stored; keep a copy of each PDF and track numbers yourself (or in your accounting software).
Can I use Urdu or Arabic text?
The built-in PDF font covers Latin script only; Urdu/Arabic characters will not render in the PDF. Use English in the fields, or the browser's print-to-PDF for a page in those scripts.
How do I make an invoice for free?

What should an invoice include in Pakistan?
Seller and buyer names and addresses, NTN (and STRN if sales-tax registered), invoice number and date, items with quantities and prices, sales tax shown separately, and payment terms.
