Add Text to Image / Meme Maker
Put a caption, quote or meme text on any image — top and bottom text, font, size, colour and outline — including Urdu and Arabic — and download it, all on your device.
In short
Classic meme text is bold Impact in white with a black outline at roughly 10% of the image height, top and bottom, in capitals; for quote cards use a clean font at 6–8% with a translucent bar behind it. Urdu and Arabic text should be drawn right-to-left with a Nastaliq or Naskh font.
Who this is for: Creators, students and marketers making memes, quote cards and captioned images — including in Urdu and Arabic.
Text that stays readable on any photo
- Impact with a black outline is the classic meme look because it reads on both light and dark areas; the outline here scales with the text size.
- For quotes and announcements use Arial or Georgia at 6–8% of image height with a translucent bar behind the text — cleaner than an outline on busy backgrounds.
- Urdu and Arabic: right-to-left text is handled automatically; the Nastaliq option uses the Urdu font if your device has one (most phones do), otherwise falls back to a system Arabic font.
- Text wraps automatically at 92% of the width; keep each line to about 5 words for memes and 10 for quotes.
Use your own photos or images you have the right to edit. The output is the same resolution as the original.
Assumptions
- Text at the chosen % of image height, wrapped at 92% of width, centred top and bottom; outline width scales with size.
- RTL direction set automatically for Arabic-script text; fonts fall back to what the device has installed.
- Output same resolution as the source, JPG 92 or PNG.
Worked example
A 1080 × 1080 photo, Georgia, size 7%, white text, dark translucent bar, top text left empty and the quote as bottom text → a clean quote card downloaded in one click, no app required.
Frequently asked questions
Can I move the text to the middle?
Text is placed at the top and bottom (the meme convention); for a centred layout put the text in the bottom field and crop the image so the subject sits in the upper part.
Does Urdu text render correctly?
Yes, right-to-left with proper letter joining, using the Urdu or Arabic font installed on your device. If the device lacks a Nastaliq font, a Naskh-style font is used.
Is there a watermark?
No. The downloaded image carries only your text.
What size is the output?
The same as the image you uploaded, as JPG (or PNG if the source was PNG).
How do I add text to a picture for free?
Upload the image, type top and bottom text, pick a font and colour, and download — no app needed.
Can I write Urdu on an image?
Yes — choose the Urdu Nastaliq font; the text is drawn right-to-left with your device's Urdu font.
